Answers to FAQ

If you and I were just “hanging out” talking, you might have some questions about whetherPitchPerfector™ will really work for you.  Since we’re not sitting face to face, let me answer a few commonly asked questions.

I’m not very serious about singing – will it still work?
I’m concerned I don’t have a good enough ear – will this work?
Am, I too young, or too old for this to work?
I know I have great vocal pitch, have recorded in studios and never need voice pitch correction. Do I need this?
Will it really fix my singing pitch problems in 10 minutes?
Why not take private singing lessons? Can’t my voice teacher help me?

      Hi James,
The microphone builtin to your computer usually works fine. If you’re using a desktop computer where the mic is far away, then an external mic may be needed. The computer knows when you are singing because you click the bright red RECORD button. Click again or press the space bar to stop.

      Hope this helps!

Will it keep a record of your sessions? I am a teacher and would like to have results to go in a students folders for a record.

      Hi Deb,

      Thank you for your question!

The simplest means for this is to use a screen capture tool and save the images to the student’s folder. Mac and Windows offer such tools built in with the OS. We considered adding it to the program, but it’s redundant functionality and we feel that is best implemented in a dedicated capture tool.
